Silver Spring

Silver Spring is a centrally-located suburb of Washington D.C. bordering D.C., Prince George County and Howard County. Within Montgomery County, this community sits next to Rockville and Chevy Chase.

Silver Spring gets its name from a Mica-flecked sparkling spring discovered by Francis Blair, who came to Maryland from Kentucky to publish a newspaper.
